International Urban Health Summit, 9 - 11 April, Herrenhausen Palace, Hanover 

As part of the project, the International Urban Health Summit took place from 9 to 11 April 2025 at Herrenhausen Palace in Hanover. 90 International experts, young scientists from 34 countries as well as roughly 200 attendees came together there to engage in dialogue. The aim was to jointly discuss how the global network of national science academies can contribute to developing and implementing solutions to the challenges of urban health. Topics such as nutrition, sport, mobility, climate, mental health, architecture, art and culture and many more had been considered. 

 

 

The conference fostered interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange on various aspects of urban health, including but not limited to:

  • Urban Planning and Governance
  • Built Environment and Urban Health
  • Natural Environment, Climate Change and Urban Health
  • Public Engagement and Urban Decision Making
  • Urban Health and AI
  • Education and Social Determinants of Health
